Dr. Ryan has been with Pediatric Associates since 2021. Originally from Gloucester, Massachusetts, Dr. Ryan received his Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from Brandeis University and his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. He returned to New England to complete his pediatric residency at the University of Massachusetts Children's Medical Center in Worcester, Massachusetts. He was Pediatric Chief Resident at UMass and spent a year working in the Pediatric Emergency Room prior to joining Pediatric Associates of Hampton and Portsmouth. He is board certified and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Ryan's professional interests include adolescent medicine, diet and nutrition, and childhood obesity. His personal interests include long-distance running and New England history. He lives in Kittery, Maine with his wife, two daughters, and cat Babou.​
